Receiving your Capitec card and funds
Account and Debit Card
If you apply in a Capitec branch, your personalized Global One debit card is printed and handed to you immediately. You set your PIN on the spot, and the account is instantly active for deposits and withdrawals. If you open the account via the app, you can use a virtual card immediately for online purchases and collect your physical card at a branch later.
Loan Payouts
Once your credit application is approved and you have signed the agreement:
- Capitec account holders: The funds are transferred directly into your Capitec Global One account immediately.
- Non-Capitec account holders: The funds are transferred via EFT to your nominated South African bank account. This can take up to 48 hours to reflect, depending on your bank's clearing rules.
Ensure your banking details are correct to avoid delays. Capitec does not pay out loans in cash.
