RCS Store Card requirements and conditions
To apply for an RCS Store Card, which gives you access to over 30,000 stores in South Africa, you must meet the following criteria:
Minimum requirements
- Age: You must be 18 years or older.
- Residency: You must have a valid South African ID document.
- Income: You must earn a minimum of R1,000 per month.
- Employment: You must be employed and have proof of income.
Required documents
- South African ID book or Smart ID card.
- Latest payslip or 3 months' bank statements to verify your income.
Credit conditions
RCS will perform a credit bureau check and affordability assessment as required by the National Credit Act (NCA). You must have a good credit record (no active defaults or debt review). Interest rates are charged in accordance with NCA regulations.
