Managing a Capitec Personal Loan after payout
The Capitec banking app is the usual control panel for this loan if you already hold a transactional account. Internet banking and branch desks can show the same loan account. Screens should display this instalment contract, not a revolving Credit Facility limit and not a credit-card balance.
What you can do in the app
| Task | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Read the offer | Existing clients often start here instead of a blank web form |
| Open the quotation | APR, initiation, service fee and any credit-life line sit on that document |
| Track the balance | Match instalments to the term you accepted (7–84 months on the calculator) |
| Pay extra | Reduce capital if the bank allocates the credit that way |
| Ask for settlement | Close the loan with the official remaining figure |
| Download statements | Keep proof for budgeting or a third party |
Login problems
Use the app’s reset flow tied to your registered mobile number. If OTPs stop, update the number at a branch or via 0860 10 20 43. Do not share PIN or biometric access.
What the screens should match
Look for NCRCP13 and FSP 46669 in Capitec legal footers. Fee lines on statements should be reconcilable to your quotation. The public example used initiation R1,207.50 and monthly service R69 inside a R84,811 total; your statement may differ. Email info@capitecbank.co.za if a posting looks wrong.
Head office on file
5 Neutron Street, Techno Park, Stellenbosch, 7600. Use Client Care first; the street address is the registered office, not a walk-in loans hall.
