How Absa pays out the standard Personal Loan
Absa does not print a same-day or next-day guarantee on the Personal Loan page. What it does say: you must already have a bank account that receives your income, and you apply on the website, in digital banking, in branch, or on 0860 100 321. Treat the signed quotation as the source for the destination account and the release window.
Before you expect a deposit
- The application is for the standard Personal Loan (up to R350,000, 12–84 months), not Instant cash at an ATM.
- You have passed the 18+ / R2,000 income / banked-salary gate.
- You have signed the NCA pre-agreement statement, including the mandatory Credit Protection Plan.
- The personalised APR (from 13.75% p.a.) and the fee lines match the illustration you accepted. The public example remains R50,000 / 36 months / 18% → R2,113 including service and initiation fees.
Instant and Express are not payout modes of this SKU
Instant Loan (R350–R8,000, up to 35 days) is the product Absa describes as quick cash at an Absa ATM, cellphone banking or online banking. Express (R1,500–R8,000, 1–6 months) is a separate short ticket. Neither is a faster rail on the R350,000 Personal Loan.
If the money has not landed
Match the account number on the agreement to the account that receives your salary. Then call 0860 100 372, send the Talk to Us callback, or use https://www.absa.co.za/find-us/. Keep the application reference. Do not re-apply at a second lender while the first file is still open; extra bureau enquiries sit on your record under the NCA.
