How to Receive Your Capfin Loan: Payout Methods Explained

How to Receive Your Capfin Loan: Payout Methods Explained

Capfin pays all approved loan amounts directly to the borrower's nominated South African bank account via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). There is no cash disbursement option and no payment to third-party accounts.

EFT Bank Transfer

How it works: Once Capfin receives your signed loan agreement, it initiates an EFT to the bank account number you provided during the application. The funds are deposited directly into your account.

Timeframe:

  • Same-day transfer is possible if the agreement is signed before the daily cut-off time.
  • Standard EFT processing in South Africa typically takes up to 2 business days depending on your bank and the time of signing.
  • Inter-bank transfers between major South African banks (Absa, Standard Bank, FNB, Nedbank, Capitec) are generally processed within the same business day.

Requirements for EFT payout:

  • The bank account must be in your own name — Capfin does not pay to third parties.
  • The account must be an active South African bank account (cheque, savings, or transmission).
  • The account details provided must exactly match the details on your application.

What If Your Funds Are Delayed?

If funds have not appeared in your account within 2 business days of signing:

  1. Check that your bank account details on the Capfin agreement were correct.
  2. Log in to your Capfin online account (capfin.co.za) to confirm the loan status shows "Disbursed."
  3. Contact Capfin on 0860 667 878 or email info@capfin.co.za with your loan reference number.
  4. Contact your bank to confirm no EFT is pending processing.

Is there a fee to receive funds? Capfin does not charge a fee for disbursing funds to your bank account. Your bank may charge an incoming EFT notification fee — check your bank's tariff guide.
