Capfin's online account portal at capfin.co.za allows borrowers to manage their personal loan from any device without visiting a store or calling the contact centre. The same functionality is available through the Capfin mobile app.
How to Log In to Your Capfin Account
Step 1: Go to capfin.co.za on any browser. Step 2: Click "Login" or "My Account" in the top navigation. Step 3: Enter your South African ID number and the password you created during registration. Step 4: Complete any two-factor authentication (OTP via SMS) if prompted. Step 5: You will be taken to your account dashboard.
If you applied at a store and have not yet set up an online account, visit capfin.co.za, click "Register," and follow the prompts using your South African ID number and the mobile number on record.

Troubleshooting — Common Login Problems
I cannot log in — wrong password Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your South African ID number and registered email or mobile number. Capfin will send a password reset link or OTP.
I am not receiving the OTP SMS
- Confirm your mobile number is correct (log in via a different method if possible, or call 0860 667 878).
- Check that your phone has signal and is not blocking SMS from unknown numbers.
- Allow up to 2 minutes for the SMS to arrive before requesting a new OTP.
My account is locked After multiple failed login attempts, Capfin may temporarily lock your account for security. Contact Capfin on 0860 667 878 or email info@capfin.co.za to unlock your account.
My payment is not showing in the portal Debit order payments typically reflect within 1–2 business days. If your payment is still not showing after 3 business days, contact Capfin with proof of payment.
I cannot access the portal on mobile Try using the Capfin mobile app (available on Android and iOS) as an alternative to the browser portal. If the app is not working, see the Mobile App section below.
