Conditions for Faster Disbursement
- Submit your application early in the business day (before noon).
- Have all supporting documents (payslips, bank statements, ID, proof of address) ready in clear digital format before you begin.
- Sign the pre-agreement quotation and credit agreement as soon as they are sent — delays in signing push disbursement to the following business day.
- Ensure the bank account number you provide is exactly correct — incorrect account details cause payment failures and significant delays.
What If Funds Have Not Arrived?
If more than 48 hours have passed since you signed the credit agreement and funds have not appeared in your account:
- Check your bank account and recent transactions carefully, including any pending transactions.
- Verify with your bank that no EFT has been received and is awaiting processing.
- Contact the specific lender directly using the contact details on your credit agreement. Quote your loan reference number.
- If you cannot reach the lender or do not receive a satisfactory response, escalate to the NCR (0860 627 627) or the Credit Ombud.
FAQ — Receiving Funds
Can funds be paid to a different account from the one I applied with? Typically no — for fraud-prevention reasons, lenders disburse only to the verified account linked to your salary. Changing the account after approval usually requires re-verification.
Can funds be paid out in cash or to a cash-send / e-wallet service? [DATA NOT CONFIRMED — verify with the specific matched lender] Most mainstream personal loan lenders in South Africa pay by EFT only. Payday-focused products sometimes offer cash-send options.
Does Crezu itself hold or transfer my money? No. Crezu is a matching platform. All fund transfers are between the lender and your bank account directly.
What currency are funds disbursed in? South African Rand (ZAR) only.
