Application Process Overview
Mulah's application is entirely online — no paperwork, no branch visits, no faxing. The process is designed to take just a few minutes from start to submission. Here is the complete step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Go to the Mulah Website
Open your browser and navigate to https://mulah.co.za. Make sure you are on the official site and that the URL begins with https:// (secure connection).
Step 2: Use the Loan Calculator
On the homepage, you will see an interactive slider or loan calculator. Drag the sliders to:
- Select your desired loan amount (R500 – R4,000 for new applicants)
- Select the number of days until your next payday (up to 32 days)
The calculator will display the estimated repayment amount including fees, so you can assess affordability before proceeding.
Step 3: Click "Apply Now" or "Get My Loan"
Once you have set the amount and term, click the apply button to begin the formal application form.
Step 4: Complete the Application Form
You will be asked to provide:
- Full name (as per your ID document)
- South African ID number
- Contact number and email address
- Banking details (bank name, account number, account type)
- Employment details (employer name, salary date)
Step 5: Upload Your Documents
Upload the following supporting documents:
- Copy of your South African ID document
- A clear selfie photo holding your ID next to your face
- Your latest three months' bank statements
Documents should be clear, unedited, and in PDF or image format.
Step 6: Submit Your Application
Review all information for accuracy and submit. Mulah's system will perform an automated credit assessment using the information and bank statements provided.
Step 7: Receive a Decision
Mulah aims to provide a rapid credit decision. If approved, you will receive notification and be directed to sign your credit agreement electronically.
Step 8: Sign the Credit Agreement
Read your pre-agreement statement and quotation (required by NCA law) carefully. This document will show the full cost of your loan. If you are satisfied, sign electronically to confirm acceptance.
Step 9: Receive Your Funds
Once the agreement is signed, Mulah initiates the transfer. Funds can arrive in as little as 60 seconds.
