How Koodo Sends Your Money
Once your loan application is approved and your signed loan agreement has been received and verified, Koodo transfers your funds directly to the South African bank account you provided during the application process. This is the same account from which Koodo will later collect repayment via debit order.
Disbursement Method: Bank Transfer
Koodo uses a direct bank-to-bank electronic funds transfer (EFT) to disburse approved loans. There is no cash payout option and no voucher system — the money goes straight into your nominated bank account.
| Disbursement Method | Available | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer (EFT) | Yes | Primary and only method |
| Cash payout | No | Not offered |
| Mobile wallet | No | Not confirmed |
| Voucher / prepaid card | No | Not offered |
How Long Does It Take?
Koodo advertises same-day disbursement once all requirements are met. Published information also references a 24-hour transfer window in some cases, depending on your bank's processing times and the time of day the approval is issued.
Factors that affect timing:
- The time you submit completed documentation (submissions late in the day may process the next business day).
- Your bank's clearing times for inward EFT transactions.
- Public holidays and weekends may delay transfers.
Tips for Faster Receipt
- Apply early in the morning on a business day.
- Ensure all documents are clear and correctly submitted on the first attempt — re-submissions delay processing.
- Make sure the bank account details you provide exactly match your ID and payslip.
- Use a bank that supports fast EFT clearing (most major South African banks — ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB, Nedbank, Capitec — clear incoming transfers quickly).
What to Do if Funds Have Not Arrived
If 24 hours have passed since your loan was approved and the funds have not reflected in your account:
- Check your bank's transaction history for any pending inward transfers.
- Contact Koodo at admin@koodo.co.za or call 087 152 0190.
- Provide your application reference number and bank account details for investigation.
