Who is behind Crediflow

The company was registered in 2026 and started lending the same year. Since September 2026 its loans are also listed for investors on the PeerBerry marketplace, which describes Crediflow as a new South African short-term lender supervised by the NCR. That says nothing about the price you pay as a borrower; your contract is with Crediflow Technologies.

Verdict: Crediflow is a properly registered lender with a quick, simple process, which is what you need when cash is short. The catch is price transparency: you cannot compare its cost before applying, so treat the quotation as the moment of decision and compare it with lenders that publish their prices.

Strengths

  • NCR-registered credit provider (NCRCP23582) — a real lender, not a broker
  • Fast: payout advertised from about 15 minutes, most decisions the same business day
  • Simple documents: SA ID, three months of bank statements, a cellphone
  • Video guides for downloading statements from eight SA banks
  • Better terms and up to R8 000 for returning clients in good standing

Weaknesses

  • Interest and fees are not published before you apply
  • Young company: registered and lending since 2026
  • Repayment only by DebiCheck debit order, EFT or online payment
  • No mobile app

What the law allows on short-term loans

Loans of up to R8 000 for up to six months are short-term credit under the National Credit Act. The regulations cap what any registered lender may charge:

Initiation feeR165 + 10% of the amount above R1 000, never more than R1 050 (plus VAT)
Monthly service feeR60 (plus VAT)
In annual terms the interest caps work out at 60% for a first loan and 36% for later loans in the same year. Crediflow does not publish its own rates, so check its pre-agreement quotation against these limits before you sign.

  3. Crediflow reviews the application, usually within business hours the same day.

If Crediflow declines you

A decline usually means the affordability check left too little room, or your credit report shows recent arrears. Before you apply anywhere else:

  1. Get your free credit report from TransUnion or Experian and look for errors or accounts in arrears.
  2. Wait a few weeks — several applications in a short time make lenders more cautious.
  3. Apply for a smaller amount, or choose a lender whose criteria fit your situation:

Ways to pay

  • DebiCheck debit order — your bank asks you to approve the mandate once before the first collection. The site has video guides for Capitec, ABSA, FNB, Nedbank and Standard Bank.

Early payment

You may pay before the due date. Crediflow credits the payment to your account, and any remaining balance is still due on the agreed instalment date.

Late payments add charges and may affect your credit record. Contact Crediflow before the due date if you are struggling — it says it will look at options with you.
