How Disbursement Works
Because Instant Loans SA is a broker, the actual disbursement of funds is handled by the lender matched to your application — not by ILSA™. Once you accept the loan offer and electronically sign the credit agreement, the matched lender initiates an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) to the South African bank account you specified in your application.
ILSA™ reports that over 50% of approved applicants in Q1 2026 received funds within 15 minutes of approval. The majority of approved applicants received their money within one hour.
Payout Method: Direct Bank Transfer (EFT)
The only payout method available through lenders in the ILSA™ panel is a direct bank-to-bank electronic funds transfer into your South African bank account.

Factors That Can Affect Payout Speed
- Time of day: Transfers initiated during banking hours (typically 07:00–18:00) on business days generally clear faster.
- Your bank: Certain banks process incoming EFTs faster than others. Capitec and FNB accounts are typically among the fastest.
- Bank verification delays: If your bank details need to be verified by the lender, this can add time.
- Weekend or public holiday applications: Applications approved outside business hours may not be funded until the next business day, depending on the lender.
Important Notes on Receiving Funds
- Funds are always sent to the bank account registered in your application. You cannot redirect a payout to a third party, cash, or mobile wallet.
- Ensure the bank account is active and not blocked or under a freeze/sequestration order.
- If funds have not arrived within 2 hours of signing your agreement during business hours, contact the specific lender (named in your agreement) directly, not ILSA™.
Frequently Asked Questions About Receiving Funds
Can I receive funds on a Saturday or Sunday? Some lenders in the ILSA™ panel process EFTs on weekends; others do not. The lender's disbursement policy will be disclosed in the credit agreement. Check the agreement for specific funding hours.
Can I change my bank account after signing? Bank account changes after signing typically require contacting the lender directly and may involve identity verification. This can cause delays; it is best to confirm your correct account details before signing.
What if I did not receive the funds but signed the agreement? Contact the lender named in your credit agreement immediately. You can also lodge a complaint with the NCR at ncr.org.za or call 0860 627 627 if the lender does not resolve the issue.
